Word Says Hi aims to meet WCAG 2.2 Level AA across this site. This page records what is in place today, where the current limits are, and how to report a barrier.

What is in place

• A skip link to the main content is the first element on every page, and the main region is a landmark that can receive focus.
• Links, buttons and form fields are native controls, so they are reachable and usable by keyboard; navigation links are at least 44px tall.
• Keyboard focus shows a 3px gold outline with a visible offset on every page.
• Informative images carry alt text. Decorative hero illustrations use empty alt text and a caption noting they are conceptual artwork, not historical evidence.
• Teaching figures in the guides carry alt summaries, and at narrow widths swap to a labelled text list with the same content. Word-page route diagrams are drawn beside a text list of the same steps.
• Status, evidence labels, errors and loading announcements appear as text, not color alone.
• Pages respect the reduced-motion system preference: entrance and spinner animation become effectively immediate.
• Layouts reflow down to a 320px viewport without horizontal scrolling, and browser zoom is not restricted.

Known limits

• This statement is a self-review against WCAG 2.2 AA. The site has not had a formal audit or certification.
• Teaching figures and route diagrams are summarized in alt text or adjacent text lists; a summary may not carry every visual detail.
• The site ships one light color scheme and does not yet adapt to a dark-mode preference.
